Do you believe every human is entitled to their views and beliefs without threat of persecution or discrimination?

Extended Question:

Religious views can be a point of contention for many. Most people love the founding fathers’ views on religious freedom which encouraged people to practice their religion as long as other people are not negatively affected. As an atheist, my concern is whether this will create conflict, considering it seems as though you are very open about God. Do you believe every human is entitled to their views and beliefs without threat of persecution or discrimination?

Answer:

Our Republic is restricted to management of the People’s common interests. Our Constitution was established to “secure the Blessings of Liberty” of the People pertaining to religion, politics, opinions, special interests, etc. The 1st Amendment guarantees everyone freedom of (or from) religion and the freedom to express their thoughts pertaining to those beliefs. Atheism, as other philosophical or spiritual beliefs, is considered private and therefore personal and is scrupulously respected.
